Manchester United's scout team will be watching Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera in action again for Athletic Bilbao on Monday as David Moyes' side's interest in the Spanish midfielder increases.
United made a transfer deadline day bid for Herrara, but the deal came to a halt when the Premier League champions baulked at his £30.5million release clause.
Now Moyes, who watched his side triumph in the Capital One Cup over Liverpool after a humbling 4-1 defeat at local rivals Manchester City, wants to go back in for the playmaker. United's sole first-team addition in the summer window was the £27.5million capture of Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
Moyes wants to further bolster his midfield with the signing of 24-year-old Herrera after admitting he is still two top-quality signings away from achieving the club's aims this season.
