Harry Redknapp has declared he is prepared to lose Steve to Derby County after Steve emerge as the favorite to land the Derby county's top job.
Harry stated: "It would be a massive blow for us if we were to lose Steve because he's been first class since he joined us at QPR. It was my decision to get him in and he's played a major part in the terrific start we've had, that's for sure. He's made no secret of the fact he wants to get back into management and we won't be standing in his way if somebody does come in for him . We had an agreement that he could leave if a club showed interest and I think there is a good chance we could lose him."
McClaren will hold talks with Derby today to replace Nigel Clough, who was dismissed at the weekend after four years in charge
